ECO-EXPLORERS
Eco Explorers is an After School Club designed to give children the opportunity to connect to Nature while exploring the world through play.
The Club is designed around a child-centred learning process. It offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment.
What we do
Eco Explorers is an introduction to Forest School. Each session is planned around an activity and children are free to join or follow their interests and learn from their own curiosity and ideas. We are focused on that rather than tasks to be finished. Example of what we do:
All sort of child-led-play (ie: imaginative, messy, games, all designed by children)
Woodworking (ie: hammering to build signs; sawing to make slings; drilling holes to design badges)
Eco-activities (ie: making bird feeders or pencils out of elder and charcoal willow)
Nature arts and crafts (ex: clay sculptures, making bow and arrows)
